Moraga, CA - The 2007-08 season will mark the 100th year in the history of men's basketball at Saint Mary's College. To recognize the 100 years of basketball, Saint Mary's will release the top-25 players of the last century. Saint Mary's counted down players 25 through 17 on the nine days counting down to the opening game of the year and then will announce the top 16 players at each home game through out the year.

Brad Millard (1995-00)

Brad Millard made a big impact during his time at Saint Mary's, as the 7-3, 345-pound center had the ability to change a game with his intimidating size. Brad exploded on the college basketball scene in 1996 when he started 30 of 31 games and averaged 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game en route to being named First Team All-West Coast Conference as a sophomore.

During his break-out sophomore season, when he set a school record with 92 blocked shots and was named the WCC Tournament Most Valuable Player, he averaged 16.3 points and 8.7 rebounds while leading the Gaels to their only WCC-Tournament title. In the 1997 NCAA Tournament when matched up against Tim Duncan, Big Continent, as named by post-player guru Pete Newell, scored 16 points, had six rebounds, two blocks, and two steals against #9 Wake Forest.

Following his sophomore season, the Seattle, Washington native suffered a foot injury that would only allow him to play 16 games his final three years at Saint Mary's. When Brad returned to the court his senior season, he scored 18 points and set a school record by blocking nine shots against the Colorado Buffaloes on November 19, 1999. In his final season in a Gael uniform, he would start 11 games, average 13.5 points, eight rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game, setting another school record for blocks per game in a single season.

When Brad's career came to an end at Saint Mary's, he finished as the school's all-time leader in blocked shots with 153, and still ranks third in career blocks in the WCC. Brad played in 66 games with 43 starts in his career and averaged 9.7 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

Players 16-through-1 will be released at each home game during the season, with No. 13 being announced at halftime of the game between SMC and Nicholls State on November 24. The best player in the history of the program will be named at the Gaels' final home game of the season on February 25 when SMC hosts San Diego at 7 p.m.
