Alyson Thomas

Coach/ Choreographer

Alyson Thomas is the Coach and Choreographer of the Saint Mary's Cheer and Dance Teams. She is a native of Walnut Creek, CA and has been dancing since the age of 5. She has 3 years of professional dancing experience that she also brings with her to Saint Mary's College.

She attended Carondelet High School where she was a Song Leader for 3 years, competing in many competitions. She is a proud alumni of Saint Mary's College where she was on the Saint Mary's Dance Team.

After graduating in 2003 from Saint Mary's with a BA in Communication she began her 3-year run with the NBA's Golden State Warriors as a member of the Warrior Girls.

Alyson has coached cheer and dance at numerous high schools throughout the area, while also teaching dance and cheer at various dance studios. She is working towards her teaching credential and Masters in education and is thrilled to be coaching at her alma mater with the Cheer and Dance Team that holds a special place in her heart.

Jenny Thomas
Coach/Choreographer

Jenny Thomas is entering her second season as Coach and Choreographer of the Saint Mary's Cheer and Dance Teams. Jenny comes from Walnut Creek, CA and has been dancing for 22 years.

During her four years at Carondelet High School, Jenny danced and acted as Captain on the Song Team while participating in several national competitions. Jenny has been a dance instructor and choreographer for local dance studios and high schools in the area.

Saint Mary's College gave Jenny a chance to continue her career as a performer. As a member of the Dance Team, Jenny acted as Captain for three years. During her years as a Gael she traveled to many basketball tournaments including the NCAA trip to Oklahoma City.

After graduating from Saint Mary's in 2005 with a BA in Liberal and Civic Studies and a minor in Psychology she earned her teaching credential and Masters. Jenny is a proud First Grade teacher at a local elementary school. Jenny is thrilled to be back at SMC and enjoys giving back to her alma mater. GO GAELS!
