Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's cross country team reports to training camp today. The Gaels look to have a strong season as they return their top runners on both the men's and women's teams.

In 2005, senior Sean Hanley competed in all seven of the Gael races and was the front runner in five. As the lone senior for the men, Hanley will provide the team with direction and leadership. Hanley is the work horse on the Gael squad; not missing a single race during his tenure as a Gael. Last season, Hanley ran his personal best 8k time of 27:44 at the Santa Clara Invitational.

The women's team returns its top runner in senior Clare Schwallie. Schwallie ran in six of the Gael races last season and was the front runner in each. In last year's Stanford Invitational, Schwallie ran the 6k course in 24:07; a time which ranks her eigth in the Gael record books. The Gaels also return senior Deanna Price and junior Karrie Hagedorn. Both Price and Hagedorn competed and placed in all seven races for the Gaels last season.

The Gaels will finish camp and begin competition at the Aggie Invitational on September 9 from Davis, CA at 9:00 a.m.
