Texas Tech: Ranked third in batting average on the Red Raiders in 2007, hitting at a .308 clip...accumulated 12 extra base hits on the season, including nine doubles, a triple, and two home runs...posted a .419 on base percentage, good for the second highest mark on the club.

Junior College: Played two seasons at Chabot College in Hayward, Calif. (Northern California)...named the All-Coast Conference Player of the Year in 2006 and the NORCAL Player of the Year... received the Rawlings "Big Stick" Award in 2006...was a first-team All-Coast Conference and NORCAL selection in 2005 as a first baseman...his last season at Chabot, he hit 17 home runs, scored 65 runs, tallied 72 RBI and swiped 15 stolen bases... coached by Steve Friend.
