Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's baseball team snapped their three-game winning streak on Sunday afternoon when they fell 13-5 to San Francisco at Louis Guisto Field. The Gaels beat the Dons on Friday and Saturday to win the series, but fell to 5-10 in West Coast Conference action and 11-27 overall with the loss. San Francisco improved to 7-8 in conference and 18-21 on the season.

The Gaels fell behind 3-0, after the Dons scored one run in the first inning and two in the third, before Saint Mary's answered with five runs in the bottom of the third for a 5-3 lead.

Saint Mary's five run third inning started with a Mike Sansoe single, a Mike Harris one-out double to left field to score Sansoe, a Gilbert Gil single and a sacrifice fly ball by Bryan Byrne to score Harris. The Gaels added their third run of the inning on an RBI single by Delaney Gallagher to score Gil and then Preston Young capped off the inning with a two-out two-run home run over the right centerfield fence.

The Gaels scored five runs in the third inning, but a combination of San Francisco pitched helped shut down the offense the rest of the game, as the Dons outscored Saint Mary's 10-0 over the final six innings.

Offensively, the Gaels were led by Harris and Young, who each went 2-for-4. Young added two RBI and Harris had one RBI.

Saint Mary's returns to action on Tuesday, April 20 when it travels to Stanford to take on the No. 2 ranked Cardinal at 6 p.m. at Sunken Diamond in Palo Alto, CA.
