Moraga, CA - The accolades are beginning to add up for sophomore left fielder Kyle Jensen, as he was named to the Rivals.com College Baseball Second Team All-American, following his sophomore season in which he broke the single season record for batting average.

Jensen had already been named to the First Team All-WCC earlier this month, after hitting .421 with 13 homeruns, 17 doubles, slugged .718 and had a .498 on-base percentage. When asked about Jensen's season, head coach Jedd Soto had this to say, "We are really proud of Kyle's efforts, he was a big part of our offense, and is going to be a big part of our season next year."

Coach Soto went on to explain why Jensen had such a big year; "He is a five tool player with that rare combination of power and speed. Kyle hits both right and left handed pitchers well, and uses the whole field when he hits. At 230 pounds, he runs a 6.5 (sixty yard dash) and shows power to the opposite field."

The two-time WCC player of the week is playing summer ball for the Matsu Minors in Palmer, Alaska.
