4/15/08 Men's Basketball to Host End of Season Banquet Moraga, CA - The men's basketball program will hold its annual end of the year banquet on Wednesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in the Soda Center on campus. This year's event will recognize senior's Todd Golden and Tron Smith, who leave Saint Mary's after leading their team to one of the most successful seasons in the history of Saint Mary's Basketball.
The Saint Mary's Ticket Office would like to remind all SMC basketball season ticket holders that this Friday, April 11, 2008 is the deadline to renew their tickets for the 2008-09 season. Don't miss Patty Mills, Diamon Simpson, and Omar Samhan as they attempt to lead the Gaels to the first back-to-back NCAA tournament appearance in school history. Current season ticket holders have the opportunity to renew at last year's prices until April 11. All premium seats (Chairback Reserve, Courtside, and VIP) are expected to sell out through renewals.
Moraga, CA - Three days after being named to the Defensive All-America team, Saint Mary's forward Diamon Simpson has been selected as the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Defensive Player of the Year. Simpson was one of sixteen players to receive Defensive All-America honors from CollegeInsider.com. The 6-foot-7 junior was named West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year in March.
