Cocco's Complete Scorecard

Tucson, AZ - In the second round of the 2006 NCAA Men's Golf Western Regional, Saint Mary's junior golfer, Chadd Cocco shot an even par 72 at the OMNI Tucson National Golf Course on Friday morning. Cocco shot 1-over par on the front nine and 1-under par on the back nine for his second straight even-par round at the regional championship.

Cocco teed-off at 10:02 am on the first hole and started the day with four straight pars. He would then drop a stroke by posting a bogey on the par-four fifth hole. He would then make seven straight pars before pull back to even par for the round, and the tournament, with a birdie three on the par four 13th. A bogey on 14 had Cocco back to 1-over, but he answered with she second birdie of the round with a four on the par five 15th hole. Cocco closed the round with three pars for a 72 (E) on Friday.

After 36 holes, Cocco has a score of 144 (E) and is currently tied for 57th place in the individual field. In order to advance to the NCAA Golf Championships, Cocco will have to be one of the top two individuals in the field that is on the top 10 teams in the Western Regional.

Cocco, who is currently 10 shots off the pace of the individual leader David Pimm of the University of Utah, will start the third round on the 10th hole at 8:32 a.m. on Saturday.
