Edwards enters his second season on the coaching staff. Edwards came to Saint Mary's from Seattle, WA and brings with him eight years of coaching and professional playing experience. Since finishing his collegiate career, he has played professionally in the A-League for eight seasons, six with the Seattle Sounders and two with the San Francisco Bay Area Seals.

His coaching experience includes being the head coach of two Crossfire Premier Soccer teams. The U-13B and U-18B teams. Edwards co-founded and was the President of First Touch Training.

He also coached the Seattle Sounders youth teams and was an assistant at Bellevue Community College and Lake Washington High School.

As a player, Edwards was a consistent member of the Sounders monstrous and aggressive backline. In 2005, Edwards played over 2,700 minutes in 26 matches, scoring three goals and one assist.

Edwards was the club's most consistent scoring threats from the back, recording 10 goals in four seasons.

Edwards is currently fourth on the Sounders' list of all-time minutes played; logging nearly 11,000 minutes on the pitch.

While at the UW, he was a four-year letterman on the men's soccer team and majored in Speech Communication. He was nominated to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation second team during the 1995 season.
