Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's Men's Soccer team recently finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2008 season. The Gaels will play 19 regular season games this year, which boasts eight home matches and the return of the Saint Mary's Tournament.

The Gaels will open their season at Annapolis, Maryland as they participate in the Navy Tournament on Aug. 29 and 31. On the Aug. 29 the Gaels will take on University of Maryland, Baltimore County and then face Navy on Aug. 31st.

Saint Mary's will play five more non-conference games, which includes hosting the Saint Mary's Tournament on September 5 and 7. On Sept. 5 the Gaels will take on Houston Baptist, and on Sunday they will face UC Irvine.

The Gaels will end the non-conference schedule with a series of away matches beginning with a game on September 14 at Sacramento State, and then ending on Sept. 19 and 21 when they will participate in the University of San Francisco Tournament. On the Sept. 19 they will play Penn State, and on the Sep 21 the Gaels play UNLV.

Saint Mary's will begin WCC play by hosting back-to-back home games against San Diego on October 3 and Loyola Marymount on October 5. SMC then heads across the bay to play San Francisco on Friday, Oct. 10. The Gaels host Santa Clara on Oct. 12 before heading on a five game road trip.

Beginning that road trip Saint Mary's travels north playing Gonzaga on Oct. 17 and Portland on Oct. 19. The Gaels then head down the coast to play at Loyola Marymount on Oct. 31, followed by a trip to San Diego to face the Toreros on Nov. 2. Saint Mary's wraps-up the long road trip with a match against the defending WCC champions Santa Clara on Nov. 7.

SMC wraps-up the season back at Saint Mary's Stadium for three games, hosting San Francisco on Nov. 9, Portland on Nov. 14, and finishing the regular season in a match against Gonzaga Nov. 16.
