Entering his first year as an assistant coach at Saint Mary's College is Tony Giannotti. Giannotti comes to Saint Mary's from Southern Utah, where he was an assistant coach for three years under Joe Hillock. While at Southern Utah, Giannotti also served as an assistant coach on the men's staff at Southern Utah in 2001-02.

With the Thunderbirds, Giannotti's responsibilities included the development of the perimeter players, recruiting, coordinating travel, practice and game preparation, on-floor practice duties, fall conditioning workouts and film exchange.

Giannotti was a two-year letterwinner at Southern Utah as a guard from 1995-97. Before his career at Southern Utah, he competed in basketball, baseball and cross country at College of the Siskiyous.

He was an all-state and all-conference performer in basketball, baseball and football at Pahrump Valley High School in Pahrump, NV. He graduated from Southern Utah in May of 2000 with a degree in physical education.
