Moraga, CA - Saint Mary's head women's lacrosse coach Lauren Uhr announced the hiring of Dylan Sheridan as the assistant women's lacrosse coach. Sheridan comes to Saint Mary's from Pfeiffer University where he was the Director of Player Development and the Offensive Coordinator for the men's lacrosse team.

"We are very fortunate to have Dylan join the coaching staff here at Saint Mary's, said Uhr. "His creativity, knowledge and articulation of the game will definitely help our program reach the next level."

Sheridan, a 2006 graduate of Claremont McKenna College, was a double major in Psychology and Film Studies, while completing the Leadership Studies Sequence at the college. Prior to attending the Claremont Colleges, Sheridan was a standout student-athlete at The Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio. In college, he continued to pursue both football and lacrosse: playing strong safety for the CMS Stags and attack for the Claremont Cougars.

While at Claremont McKenna, Sheridan was named to the MCLA All-American and All-West Coast teams his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. During his senior year he lead the MCLA in scoring with 114 points en route to earning the title of 2006 West Coast Offensive Player of the Year, and finished his college career with over 300 points. In 2005 Sheridan traveled to Osaka Japan as a member of Team USA West, and in 2007 he traveled to Berlin and Prague as a member of Team USA California.

He played varsity lacrosse for four years, and captained the football team his junior and senior seasons. During that time he appeared in three Ohio State Lacrosse Championship games, he also helped guide his team to back-to-back league titles in football.
