Moraga, CA- This weekend women's rowing resumes competition at the West Coast Conference and Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships held at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, CA. Friday, April 29th will be the WCC Championship which features Gonzaga, LMU, San Diego and Santa Clara. The Gaels will continue competition Saturday and Sunday in the WIRA Championships also held at Lake Natoma.

This year Saint Mary's will compete in the varsity-8 and novice-8 and varsity-4 and novice-4 events and are expected to perform well. The varsity-8 defeated Santa Clara by 8 seconds earlier this season at the WCC Challenge and had strong showings against both San Diego and LMU. As for the novice, this will be the first time they have competed since they defeated Santa Clara and the Cal Lightweights at the Redwood Shores.
