Moraga, CA - When US Rowing announced their national camp invitees, two Saint Mary's rowers were on the lists. Junior Johanna Timmer has been invited to the 2008 Women's National Team/U23 Summer Selection Camp and Freshman Jacqui Lindo was invited to the 2008 Women's National Team Freshman Camp.

Johanna Timmer makes her second appearance at the US Rowing national camps after being invited to the freshman camp in 2006. Timmer rowed in the women's first varsity eight boat this season, and has been a mainstay in the varsity eight boat her three years with the team. The camps will select boats for the 2008 FISA World Under 23 Championships scheduled for July 17-20 in Brandenburg, Germany, as well as the 2008 FISA World Senior Championships scheduled for July 22-27 in Vienna, Austria.

Jacqui Lindo completed her freshman year as a member of the first varsity eight, when most freshmen are participating in the novice boat competition. The Women's National Team Freshman Camp will take place June 16-21 at the Cornell University campus in Ithaca, N.Y.
