Within the past two years Browning has had ten of his players named to WCC All-Conference teams and two players named to the WCC All-Academic team. Saint Mary's has appeared in one NCAA tournament under Browning and have won two pre-season tournaments over the past two seasons.

In his second year as head coach of the Gaels Browning led the team to an 11-14 overall record while finishing 6-8 in conference. The 2006 Gaels finished tied for fourth in the West Coast Conference, with wins over top conference teams, such as, Santa Clara and Loyola Marymount. Browning guided Saint Mary's past #9 Santa Clara in a five game barnburner to begin WCC play and led the Gaels to defeat Loyola Marymount in both appearances in conference.

For the second straight year Browning's Gaels led the WCC in blocks with 3.25 per game. Four members of the squad were listed within the top-10 in blocks, Brittany Barker (1st), Christina Kirk (5th), Mandy Bible (6th), and Megan Burton (10th). Browning also played an important role in having four players earn All-Conference honors, seniors Mandy Bible and Christina Kirk were named to the 1st team All-Conference, while junior Missie Stidham was named to the honorable mention team and freshman Megan Burton was named to the All-Freshman team.

In his first year as head coach of the Gaels Browning led his team to a 19-10 overall record and a 9-5 conference mark. Browning picked up the program right where it left off, leading Saint Mary's to its third consecutive NCAA Tournament. Under Browning the Gaels were second in the nation in blocks while leading the WCC in blocks, aces and opponent hitting percentage. Browning was also key in having a school-record six players earn All-Conference honors. After taking over late in the school year, Browning and his staff did a tremendous job reorganizing the volleyball program.

Freshman Brittany Barker excelled under Browning's leadership in her first season, being named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman team. Junior Christina Kirk also benefited from Browning's guidance, as she was named to her first All-WCC First Team. Sophomore Missie Stidham and junior Mandy Bible made the first team and senior Kaui Salzman and junior Cassandra Kolkka made the All-WCC Honorable Mention squad.

Browning was also key in getting the Gaels not only back to the NCAA Tournament, but back into the Top 25. After the first week of the season, the Gaels broke into the CSTV/AVCA Coaches Poll with a No. 23 ranking. Browning's recruiting classes, '06 and `07 received `High Honorable Mention' honors by prepvolleyball.com.

Browning was hired as the eighth head women's volleyball coach in the program's 28-year history on March 23, 2005. Browning was a unanimous choice among the selection committee, players and staff.

Browning is an experienced coach in all levels of the game and was working as an assistant coach for the USA Men's National Team for six years prior to joining Saint Mary's.
